People in Cyprus are very passionate and serious about their food. Restaurants in Larnaca are present in almost every corner. Town does have a variety of Restaurants, Bars and Cafés to satisfy every taste and wallet, from traditional Cyprus Meze Taverns to gastronomic five star spots.

In the centre of Larnaca and Phinikoudes Palm Promenade you will find many Restaurants and Cafes, as well as night clubs and Bars and well known international places to eat out.

TAVERNS

Makenzy beach area, which is not so far form Phinikoudes, has a long strip of beach with many traditional restaurants and trendy beach lounges. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful, just perfect for an afternoon stroll down the beach or for nice Meze. 

Cypriot Meze is a traditional meal, which starts with lots of small size appetizers, pickles, salads, followed with traditional charcoal grilled meats accompanied by freshly fried chips and sometimes pasta dishes, and finishes, of course, with the traditional dessert like a whole nuts or watermelon in syrup, or a fresh fruits.

Cypriots tend to eat out with whole family, especially during the weekends. It is very common for Restaurants, especially for Tavern’s to take bookings from 8-9pm onwards. In Larnaca many places start to get busy much earlier.


Make sure you will try traditional Lukomades for dessert, when walking down on Phinikoudes Promenade.
